By accessing our website or requesting our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using our website, or by engaging our pest control services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. These Terms may be updated or modified from time to time without prior notice. Your continued use of our website or services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Services Provided
Greater Vancouver Pest Control offers residential and commercial pest control services, including but not limited to:

Inspection and identification of pest issues

Treatment and elimination of various pests (ants, rodents, bed bugs, cockroaches, wasps, wildlife, etc.)

Exclusion and prevention services

Ongoing maintenance and monitoring programs
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

4. Service Agreements and Estimates

4.1 Estimates
All estimates provided by Greater Vancouver Pest Control are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance, unless otherwise stated. Estimates are based on the information available at the time of inspection and may be subject to change if additional pests or issues are discovered during treatment.

4.2 Service Confirmation
By scheduling a service appointment or accepting a written estimate, you enter into a service agreement with Greater Vancouver Pest Control. You agree to provide accurate information regarding your property and the nature of your pest issue.
​
4.3 Access to Property
You grant our technicians permission to enter your property during scheduled appointment times to perform inspections, treatments, and follow-up services. You are responsible for ensuring that our technicians have safe and reasonable access to all areas requiring service.

5. Pricing and Payment
​
5.1 Fees
All fees for services are as quoted at the time of booking or as stated in your service agreement. Prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

5.2 Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in writing. We accept cash, credit card, and e-transfer.

5.3 Late Payments
If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to charge a late fee of $25.00 on the outstanding balance and/or suspend services until payment is received.

5.4 Returned Payments
A fee of $25.00 will be charged for any cheques returned by your financial institution or for any credit card chargebacks.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
​
6.1 Cancellations by Customer
You may cancel or reschedule a scheduled service appointment by providing at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of $50.00.

6.2 Cancellations by Us
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to inclement weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule at the earliest convenience.

6.3 Ongoing Service Plans
For customers on monthly or quarterly service plans, cancellation requires 30 days' written notice. Prepaid amounts for services not yet rendered will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.

7. Guarantees and Warranties
​
7.1 Service Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our work. If pests return, we will return at no additional cost to re-treat the affected areas, subject to the following conditions:

Your original service was sold with a warranty, this will be outlined on your initial invoice and will have been verbally explained by your service technician during your initial service, treatment, or installation.

You have followed all preparation instructions provided by our preparation guidelines

There have been no structural changes or new introductions of pests
-
The property remains in substantially the same condition as at the time of treatment

7.2 Limitations
Our guarantee applies specifically to the pests identified and treated. It does not cover:

New infestations from different pest species
-
Infestations originating from neighboring properties
-
Damage caused by pests before or after treatment
-
Conditions beyond our reasonable control

7.3 No Other Warranties
Except for the conditions and warranties implied by the Sale of Goods Act (British Columbia) which cannot be lawfully excluded, and except as expressly stated herein, Greater Vancouver Pest Control makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the services provided, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure the effectiveness of our services, you agree to:

Provide accurate information about the pest issue and property conditions

Follow all preparation instructions provided before treatment

Ensure children and pets are kept away from treated areas as directed

Notify us immediately if you experience any issues or concerns after treatment

Maintain reasonable cleanliness and address conditions that attract pests (e.g., food sources, moisture issues)
Failure to meet these responsibilities may void our service guarantee.

9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Greater Vancouver Pest Control shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

Your use or inability to use our services

Any conduct or content of any third party on our website

Any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

Damage to property caused by pests, whether before, during, or after treatment
Nothing in this section shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us for the services giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Greater Vancouver Pest Control, its employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from:

Your use of and access to our website or services

Your violation of any term of these Terms

Your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right

Any claim that your actions caused damage to a third party

11. Property Damage
Our technicians exercise reasonable care when performing services on your property. In the unlikely event that damage occurs as a direct result of our services, please notify us within 48 hours of the service visit. We will investigate and, if we determine the damage was caused by our negligence, we will, at our option, either repair the damage or compensate you for the reasonable cost of repair.
We are not responsible for:

Pre-existing conditions or damage

Damage caused by the pests themselves

Damage that occurs after our service due to factors beyond our control

12. Health and Safety
​
12.1 Pesticide Application
We use pesticides and control methods in accordance with all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal regulations. Our technicians are licensed and trained in the safe application of pest control products.

12.2 Allergies and Sensitivities
If anyone in your home or business has known allergies, chemical sensitivities, or respiratory conditions (such as asthma), it is your responsibility to notify us before treatment. We will take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee that no adverse reactions will occur.

12.3 Re-Entry
Our technicians will advise you when it is safe to re-enter treated areas. Please follow these instructions carefully for your safety.

13. Wildlife Services
For wildlife removal services, the following additional terms apply:

We use humane removal methods in accordance with the BC Wildlife Act and all applicable municipal bylaws

Exclusion work (sealing entry points) is performed to prevent re-entry
-
We do not guarantee that wildlife will not find new entry points or return after exclusion
-
Some wildlife species may be protected, and our services will comply with all applicable laws regarding their handling and relocation

14. Intellectual Property

14.1 Website Content
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Greater Vancouver Pest Control or its content suppliers and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws.

14.2 Trademarks
"Greater Vancouver Pest Control" and any associated logos are trademarks of Greater Vancouver Pest Control. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written permission.

14.3 Use of Website
You may access and view our website for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from our website without our express written consent.

18. Dispute Resolution

18.1 Informal Resolution
Before initiating any formal dispute resolution proceedings, you agree to first contact us at info@vancouverpestcontrol.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

18.2 Binding Arbitration
If we are unable to resolve the dispute informally, you agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act of British Columbia. The arbitration shall be conducted in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Any claim or dispute subject to arbitration under this section must be commenced within two years of the date the claim is discovered, as defined by the Limitation Act (British Columbia).

18.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any proceedings to resolve disputes will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action or representative action.

19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under any applicable law, such unenforceability or invalidity shall not render these Terms unenforceable or invalid as a whole. Such provisions shall be deleted without affecting the remaining provisions herein.

20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any service agreements or estimates provided to you, constitute the entire agreement between you and Greater Vancouver Pest Control regarding your use of our website and services, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.

21. Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Greater Vancouver Pest Control.
